The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) strongly endorses participation in the program to improve the ability of certificated persons to establish the eligibility of parts and products for installation on type-certificated products.

The certificate is important for certain companies who operate in the defense and aerospace industries.
The recertification is valid through September 27, 2017.
